Greece: How Can You Be Involved?

Celebration Church is planning to launch a campus in Greece in 2010.  With the focus of ministering to the lost and partnering with A21, Celebration hopes to plant a life-giving, thriving church to minister to the people of Greece.  If you feel called to help support this cause, here are some ways you can get involved:

1. Go on short term missions trips to Greece:

Our first scheduled trip to Greece will be March 19-27, 2010. This trip will be mandatory for all who wish to join the Greece Church Plant Launch Team. Dates for future trips will be determined after this trip.

Trip Overview:

Date and Leaders: March 19-27, 2010 led by Pastors Darren and Katie Sullivan

Estimated Cost: approximately $1,700-1,900 (final cost determined by airfare, which will be purchased in January)

Trip Focus: As we seek to plant a Celebration Church campus in Greece, this first team has the unique opportunity to serve as an exploratory group. Team will participate in ministry in a local church and school as well as some street outreaches to trafficked women and women on the streets. Team will spend time praying and serving in whatever capacity is needed. If time permits, there may be a trip to ancient Corinth.

Team Meetings: Meetings are imperative for the team to prepare for this missions trip as well as get to know other team members. There will be approximately 6 meetings prior to departure.

     1st Team Meeting: December 12, Classroom A @ 4:30pm (** $150 Deposit due)

     2nd Team Meeting: January 16, Classroom A @ 4:30pm (** $900 due to purchase airfare)

     *Remainder schedule of meetings/payments TBD

Passport Info: If you do not have a passport yet, please arrange to get one immediately. In order to find your nearest post office to apply for a passport, you can go to http://www.usps.com/passport/ for more information. Please bring 2 copies of your passport to the December 12 meeting.

Application: fill out an online application for this trip on the tab "online application"-- You will be contacted immediately with further details.

2. Give/Send

Some may not be able to move long term to Greece, but want to be involved. You can help send those who can move to Greece by supporting missionaries monthly or giving towards the church plant.

3. Begin long-term missions/church planting training

For those interested in joining the Greece launch team, general missions training will begin in January 2010. Participation is mandatory for all final Greece team members.
